Brendan Smith is a poet, musician, film-maker, and all around performing artist located in Berkeley, CA. He has recently published a book of poems, entitled, "Exalt: The Wonder of Life Beyond Separation," after publishing and performing many experimental pieces of prose, theatre, and music in the Bay Area over the last years. He works primarily with the sources of inspiration that arise from the state of union between subjective consciousness and the "outer" world, and gives shape to his experience by moving it into the raw subject matter of art, sound, and spoken word.
